- Hanle is remote with limited homestays that offer hot water briefly and power only in evenings so carry your own warmth.
- Umling La ride is thrilling but physically tiring and high altitude so acclimatise well before attempting it.
- Fuel stops are rare on remote stretches so fill up in Nyoma or Merak to avoid trouble later.
