  • Many travellers warn about registration booths along the road that feel convincing but are often scammy so it’s best to keep driving straight to the official car park.
  • The stairs down and back are steep and quite tiring so go slow, rest often, and pace yourself especially on the return climb.
  • If you arrive earlier in the day you’ll enjoy cooler air, fewer people, and soft light for photos from viewpoint and base.
  • Water shoes or sandals with good grip are essential - slippery paths and river crossings make slick surfaces treacherous.
  • Some guides are really kind and helpful they carry bags, arrange motorbike rides back, and even help with high blood pressure if needed.
  • People say the hidden waterfall feel is magical and the main falls even better the energy, mist, rainbows make it unforgettable.
