- Go early around 8 AM to enjoy soft light and fewer people at the base for peaceful photos and less sweat.
- The waterfall is powerful and majestic but its spray chills you fast so wear quick drying clothes and keep your phone dry.
- There are slippery rocks near the water so don’t go too close unless the staff allow you safely and wear good footwear.
- If you combine the drive with nearby rice terraces or temples you get more value instead of making it a stand alone trip.
- Pack snacks or light lunch from Ubud the small stalls there are limited and get depleted early in the day.
- If you come in wet season know the trail gets slippery and mist intensifies so go slow and expect soaked gear even with rain cover.
