  • Choose the morning session for calmer waters and better visibility, increasing your chances of spotting mantas and getting good photos.  
  • Be prepared for strong currents—stay close to your guide and avoid deep drifts unless you are very confident.  
  • Trips often feel rushed with only 20–30 minutes at each spot; bring a snack (if permitted) to stay energized.  
  • Crowds and numerous boats at Manta Bay reduce the sense of serenity, so ask to skip the busiest cleaning stations if possible.  
  • Guides who explain well and take photos add great value, especially when manta sightings are brief.  
  • Wear sturdy trainers for land tour sections, as the roads are rocky and bumpy—flip‑flops won’t be suitable.  
  • Some tours shorten or rush land stops due to sea conditions, so go with flexible expectations.
