Things to know
- Vehicle Restrictions: Due to local taxi union rules, Srinagar / outside vehicles cannot roam inside Pahalgam, Gulmarg, or Sonmarg. Only local union vehicle / Pony can be used at Gulmarg, Pahalgam or Sonmarg for local sightseeing.
- During heavy snowfall in Gulmarg, you'll need to book a local vehicle equipped with snow chains from Tangmarg to reach the Gondola. In Gulmarg, Srinagar cabs can only go up to the bus stand, which is a 15-minute walk from the Gondola's upper phase station.
- For Sonmarg sightseeing, our vehicle will take the guest to the Sonmarg taxi stand. From there, the guest needs to hire a pony/local union cab for sightseeing like Thajwas Glacier, Zero Point
- During winter, the road to Sonmarg remains closed and vehicles can only go up to Gagangir.
- For visiting Aru Valley, Chanadanwadi or Betab Valley in Pahalgam, local union taxi has to be booked from Pahalgam.
