From Passprt Community

  • Stay hydrated throughout the day, but avoid heavy meals right before diving to prevent discomfort.
  • If you’re nervous about deeper dives, communicate openly with your instructor - they’re there to guide you safely.
  • Pay close attention during the briefings for each adventure dive; understanding the dive plan makes the underwater experience smoother.
  • Practice buoyancy control diligently; mastering it early will make deeper dives much more comfortable.
  • Bring a waterproof camera if you want photos, but focus first on improving your skills and navigation.
  • Always equalize slowly when descending; rushing can cause ear discomfort or injury at deeper depths.
  • Wear reef-safe sunscreen during boat transfers to protect marine life.
  • Avoid alcohol the night before diving; it affects hydration and your body’s ability to handle pressure changes.
  • Be patient during navigation dives; it takes practice to read underwater compasses and landmarks accurately.
  • Make sure your gear fits properly and is comfortable; small adjustments prevent issues during deeper or longer dives.
