- Several reviews mention parts of the zoo felt rundown and cleanliness could be improved including toilets and dining areas.
- Animal exhibits such as elephants or tapirs may sometimes be closed for maintenance so go early when more animals are active.
- It can get very hot around midday and shade is limited so start in the morning and use the panda area to cool off.
- Getting there by Grab or private car is easier as public transport takes longer and involves a transfer.
- Birthday promotion allows free entry within 30 days after birthday when you bring your ID card.
- Capybaras and the famous Oyen attract fond memories they are charming to watch resting together.
